The Year My Sister Got Lucky

The story begins when two sisters, Katie and Michaela Wilder, are moved from fast-paced New York city to rural Fir Lake. Katie is devastated and feels like her and her sisters dreams of being prima ballerina were being shattered. While Katie pushes herself into further reclusion, Michaela shines, turning herself into a social butterfly. With every minute Katie feels herself growing further and further apart from her sister. When this new, secretive girl appears before her, she starts to question whether she ever really knew her at all. Who is this girl who parties all the time, and is suddenly not afraid to talk to boys? Katie wants to stay close to her sister, but after she finds out a shocking secret she starts to question even that.
If you are looking for something light to read this is for you. It's funny and may keep the pages turning, but unfortunately that is really all that there is to it. The big secret was plain almost from the beginning of the story, so I was a little disappointed when it finally came out. For me, the ending was anti-climatic. For those of you who have read it, what did you think? Am I right or wrong?
